Meet the Gods and Goddesses of Mount Verstovia. Yes, those are bed sheets, and yes, whitney is wearing a 70s floral print sheet, the last extra sheet left in our closet. And we are all wearing fake floral arrangements on our heads.
These gods and goddesses graced Sitka with their presence at the annual Running of the Boots. Below is the start of the race: an Xtra Tuf boot chucked in the air.
This fine event is a fun raiser for the Sitka Farmer's Market. People dress up in costumes and run from the Crescent Harbor,
past the New Archangel church,
to the Pharmacy downtown and back
It concludes with a lip-sync contest. Below was the fabulous Sitka Community Hospital's rendition of "We are family."
At the prize ceremony, guess who won best dressed adult group :)
