Found this poem/prayer on a piece of paper in my room. If anyone knows who to attribute this to, please comment! Maybe posting it here will help encourage us all to keep digging in the garden that bears these fruits. And hey! it says its simple...
The Simple Path.
The fruit of silence is
prayer.
The fruit of prayer is
faith.
The fruit of faith is
love.
The fruit of love is
service.
The fruit of service is
peace.

It's a beautiful prayer, isn't it? It's Mother Teresa's prayer. Years ago I picked up a book on her, wanting to know more about this extraordinary human being. Well, in a sea of books written about her at the bookstore, the one I stumbled upon was called, "Mother Teresa - A Simple Path", compiled by Lucinda Vardey. The book is a candid look at her everyday life, describing the experience that is the genesis of each line of her prayer. It's a timeless, uplifting, love-in-action, simple book for anyone, really. Definitely worth digesting. I've revisited time & again. It's helped to ground my perspective, attitude when things start to spin out of control, or so it seems. It's also helped me realize a personal mantra that still holds water so far...
'Live simply, do extraordinary, love without measure.'
Hope you're doing well! :)
